Authorities were called to the 6500 block of Walnut Park Drive around 10:45 p.m., PPD said in a release. They arrived to find 30-year-old Khalief Rhodan lying in a doorway with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Rhodan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A 50-year-old suspect was located at the scene and taken to the hospital with chest pain and breathing difficulties, according to PPD. A gun was recovered from the scene.
"Charges are pending as police continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting," a police spokesperson said.
